We understand that the loss of a loved one can be a difficult and painful time, often one of the most heart-wrenching moments in your life when saying goodbye to someone you care about. As Muslims, we are taught to trust Allah’s (S.W.T.) will and pray for mercy and forgiveness for the deceased. To support you through these challenging times, the Islamic Center of Passaic County offers funeral services, aiming to make the transition for loved ones as smooth as possible.

Salatul Janaza (Prayer for the deceased)

Salatul Janaza is held in the mosque’s spacious prayer halls for both men and women. Muslim and non-Muslim friends and relatives are welcome to attend the service and offer condolences to the family. Conservative attire is required inside the masjid.

Azaa Services

Azaa services can be arranged by contacting building@mybicc.org and confirming the availability of the facility. We do not charge any fees for Azza services, but a general donation to the masjid is strongly recommended.

Pricing Information

1- Funeral Home: $ 3,500 (BICC can work with other funeral homes if you have arrangements with a different one)

2- Graveyard:

• Norwalk: $4,000 spot, $2200 digging, $1,600 vault

• Cheshire: $1,500 spot, $1,350 digging, $1,600 vault

• Manchester: $1,550 spot, $1,200 digging, $1,000 vault

• Enfield: $1,550 spot, $1,200 digging, $1,000 vault

3- Miscellaneous: $250 – Shroud (Kafan), Ghsoul room power and water, towels, …

Important notes:

1. Current pricing information may change depending on the service providers. You will be notified of any expected changes when you call.

2. Pricing is based on normal conditions on a weekday before 3:00 PM. Weather, day, and time of day can affect the price.

3. BICC does not charge any extra fees and only facilitates the process as a service to our community.
