Islamic Marriage (Nikkah) Procedures at BICC

To perform an Islamic marriage (Nikkah) at BICC, the following procedure is used: 

1.    Obtain a marriage license from the town hall of the City where you reside in Connecticut.

2.    Photo IDs are needed for the marrying parties, the Wali (Guardian), and two witnesses.

3.    BICC will provide each marrying party with an Islamic marriage certificate for their record.

4.    The fee for an Islamic marriage is $300. Fee can be waived or reduced in cases of financial hardship.

5.    The marriage will be conducted at the BICC Shiek’s office. Large gatherings that would like to celebrate can rent the BICC Social Room using the form at:
